but I have other wool sock keep me cooler while hiking.

They are thin enough so that I don’t have to upsize my hiking boots, keep my feet comfortable in warm and cold weather, provided nice support as well as some extra cushioning, don’t bunch up anywhere, etc - a perfect hiking stocking.
