The snare less so, but I have not spent any time working with it, replacing heads and the like, so it may be better than it sounds out of the box
An 8 or 10" snare is much better for this

Quality construction, very good drums, cymbals and hi-hat could be a little better, but cymbals are usually hit or miss with this type of set
These drums are fantastic, we bought them for our three year old, and he loves them

The set was easy to put together and it is really decent quality
The set up for the drums was easy and even though I am a musician I think anyone could easy set the kit up without any issues.
