Deering Deluxe Padded Open Back Banjo Gig Bag

    • I usually prefer hard cases but from what I read, open backed banjos do not fit very well in most hard cases.
    • I wouldn't be surprised if there are better-padded cases.
    • Nice banjo case, I was incredibly hesitant about buying a padded case rather than a solid one.
    • But I also know there are much worse cases, including several that are advertised for backless banjos, but are really proportioned for resonator banjos, so your backless banjo will slop around in them like a pillowcase
    • I wanted a hard case but they were too expensive.
    • I usually prefer hard cases but from what I read, open backed banjos do not fit very well in most hard cases.
    • But so did the Superior case I started out with,
    • While I am sorry Deering no longer sells the one with the eagle on it, this is a nice case
    • The Superior case has two zippered compartments on front of the bag, while the Deering bag only has one
    • I will attempt to return it and will find a hard case that will fit my Gumby-headed Deering Goodtime.
