    Dell U2415 24-Inch 1920 x 1200 LED Monitor

    • First time I ever had a new computer totally crash within 48 hours of being powered up
    • You will have an unpleasant time getting at the ports in almost every circumstance
    • Not a problem if you sit directly in front of the monitor, but anyone else in the room will have a hard time seeing the screen
    • Needless to say even if I can return monitor, there is a loss of use for the application the monitor was purchased for, as well as my time
    • IPS has the great colors for photo editing and TN has the great response time for PWNing noobs
    • It's also a common mistake to confuse response time with latency
    • Given the modest cost of the display combined with excellent backlight range (it really does get to very dim for comfortable evening or other low light usage), a really good setup of USB ports (although I do miss the quick access on left side of monitor of prior same brand monitors for that "one more thing" you periodically need to hook up) and very nice appearance, this seems like a reasonable choice for someone who has a hard time justifying double the price for 1440p, or who does not need perfect color matching (I can't seem to adjust this monitor correctly using the dell icc and imaging resource tips/tricks, I haven't tried using a spyder or similar tools, it's not important enough for my usual usage)
    • Calling on my friend a full time tech support guy.
    • it may flicker many times in a row.
    • There is an annoying time lag and lack of lighting for the controls when you switch between two computers hooked up to it
    • No matter how many times I mess with color calibration tools it simply won't reproduce accurate colors or brightness
    • Needless to say even if I can return monitor, there is a loss of use for the application the monitor was purchased for, as well as my time
    • Now I get to have the fun time of returning large, difficult to pack equipment
    • At 60Hz, the U2415 performs so well that I can barely tell the difference on responsive time and input lag visually
    • Plenty of plugging and unplugging, swapping monitors with my Mac Mini, with never enough time to have the issue reappear.
    • If it worked all the time I would give it five stars
    • Dell was absolutely useless in attempting to resolve the issues and both times I called they just said to return it.
    • but they will give you a super hard time and try to tell you "well it's out of
    • (I know now that after looking at a good amount of bad reviews that this screen developing bars out of nowhere is a common among them)Yeah, dell is great if you have a company with a ton of computers, but when your working full time and don't get home till late every day, their support is not even close to being friendly to home users
    • aleays liked my Samsung 2443s but the ones I
    • good, but not as great as the U2412M, even though 2412m is older but the color is more vivid and crisp.
