Denon AVR-E300 5.1 Channel 3D Pass Through and Networking Home Theater AV Receiver with AirPlay (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

    • One of my favorite features of the receiver is the built-in 9 Band Manual Equalizer
    • Granted, that's a costlier feature available on higher-end models, but it wasn't made obvious in my up-front research (and I did look for it), so now I have to run an RCA cable through the ceiling if I really desperately want to play NES over the projector.
    • Another nice feature is the front-side USB port for attaching MP3 players, and it even charges the device
    • The remote on the smart phone is my favorite feature.
    • Great audio quality, features and usability
    • The internet audio streaming is a very nice feature.
    • The features are awesome and are pretty simple to use.
    • Another great feature of this unit is the inclusion of Apple's AirPlay technology, making streaming from iTunes on your phone or laptop a snap
    • One of my favorite features of this receiver is the Audyssey technology, which makes setup a breeze
    • My TV has HDMI but doesn't support that feature
    • Apple Airplay has been a wonderful feature and now I don't think I could do without it (but, having your ITunes computer/laptop next to the receiver is a good idea).
    • I love the additional features such as the external input for phone/mp3 player and the online services such as Pandora
    • The Denon built-in auto-adjust speaker settings is a useful feature and actually picked up an "Out of Phase" wiring error on one of my rear speakers
    • For me the features on the next couple models up were not important to me (4k upscaling, 2 zones, wifi, 7.1, and a few others)
    • Great quality and feature set for the price.
    • the internet radio is a great feature
    • Another nice feature is that if you choose to AirPlay to it, it will automatically change to the correct input setting.
    • Surround sound is wonderful assuming you have undergone the initial calibration and AirPlay is a useful feature as well
    • Fortunately the TiVo and BluRay remotes do have a TV on/off button, but the AppleTV doesn't so I have to use a third remote when using the AppleTV.In its defense, the HDMI circuitry of the Denon can switch on a connected device when it is selected on the Denon remote, but only if the device is new enough to support that feature - it was only recently added to the HDMI spec.

    • Therefore, at this price point, this particular model is missing some common features like music zones, Wi-fi, Bluetooth, etc
    • The apple air-play was a great feature for my house and worked amazingly fast compared to bluetooth
    • I like this feature as it intelligently controls power and volume on connceted
    • It is selling for $250 now - grab it to start enjoying a receiver with ample features
    • The nicest feature is by far being able to change the option Video source being fed to the Audio channel selected so you can play your PS3 game while listening to the streaming or local radio tuners this unit features
    • It has great features and sounds great
    • Another one of my favorite features is the HDMI
    • nice sound and features, easy to use and at a great price
    • Conclusion:If you need a straightforward, affordable, well-featured AV receiver from a major brand, can plug into a LAN with internet and WiFi access, have an Android or iOS device for remote control and use iTunes or iOS for your
    • Other than the failure I liked it as the sound was great and Airplay is a fantastic feature.
