Frankly as a Spotify user I never really use it anyway because they are also Spotify Connect compatible so you just use the Spotify app and it works flawlessly

Setup is easy enough: Download the HEOS app on your phone, connect your phone to the speaker's AUX port on the back (unfortunately you can't use the headphone jack, which is conveniently exposed on the side), enter your wi-fi password, and within seconds the speaker is connected, available to play music from any device on the same network
