I originally purchased the "Disney DCM-1 Classic Mickey Waffle Maker, Brushed Stainless Steel" as a Christmas gift, but it arrived with wear marks and was obviously used

:Non-stick surface scratches very easily, which appears to be made of teflon - which is toxic when scratchedThe non-stick surface burns and stops working if left on too longThe batter spills over into the hinge which is nearly impossible to cleanBatter spill over very easily if not using the right amountNo indicator telling you when the maker is hot enough or when the waffle is readyCheaply made but for the price I didnt expect much moreI think the ratings are over hyped - after a meal, the novelty wears off

this machine had a temp setting with ready timer I'd actually just use it as my regular waffle maker and not bother getting another regular one (which I am going to do)
