I did not want to stop my dog from barking or teach him barking was wrong, but I can now control it at all times.

But using a remote is much better vs automatic beep/vibration when you have multiple dogs because if the bark is loud enough, it will set off both collars.

You don't want your dog to associate the buzzing with you; you want him to associate it with the bad behavior (barking, digging in the garden, etc.).
