I anticipated having an issue with this useless holding a tune, but I am surprised how well it holds a tune now

But after that, with consistent (almost daily) tuning, I found that the strings would stay a little better

It's been played everyday for a month, it holds it's tune very well

It plays great, holds a tune VERY well

The tuning begs are pretty and once the strings have been played on for a while (nylon strings will lose tuning for a while) it holds tune for a while

This is a perfect ukulele combination for anyone who wants to have the best of the ukulele, from having it secure in its own bag to having a tuner to make sure it is well tuned

I purchased a Hola, a Kala, and a Donner in the same week and had high hopes for the Kala,since it was the most expensive Uke, however, the Donner actually arrived with nearly perfect chromatic tuning,and that is what I play most since the Kala still does not not play in tune as well as the Donner

Only issue is the string go out of tune much faster than any other ukulele I have ever seen

So far, it's got a good tone, holds it's tune well, has good intonation all the way up the fretboard, and is well constructed

I really like the wood grain aesthetic of this ukulele, as well as the wooden tuning keys

After playing and tuning for a few weeks, it seems to hold its tune rather well.

When first tuning the uke, you might find it easier to use a keyboard to make sure you're getting those loose nylon strings on the correct octave

The Donner arrived with nearly perfect chromatic tuning right out of the box, and has a nice wide fretboard and meaty neck

It didn't hold a tune well at first, but as soon as it acclimated it was fine.

I found after, using the chromatic tuner THAT COMES INCLUDED showed it to be in near perfect tune

I was able to tune it quickly and use it in class within a couple hours of tuning; it kept its tuning very well throughout class for an inexpensive uke!

If this were a ukulele company's review site, this would be a three star uke: a little thin sounding, not the best tuning hardware, but keeps in tune fine and no buzzy frets

For the price you can't get a better ukulele sounds really good dreams that come with it after one day of use hold a tune very very well now with very very minor adjustments every few

Like buying a new bicycle, even the steel cables for brakes and gears need a tune-up once they've been broken in.

*don't do this at home* to see if the any expansion and contraction of the wood would cause it to lose some tune

Well made and easy tuning.

Once I figured out my mistake I really enjoyed working with the tuner which makes tuning easy, fast, and foolproof.

Many people say that if you buy a cheaper ukulele, the sound might not be as good and the strings will go out of tune more easily, but this instrument sounds so beautiful and even when it was brand new the strings stayed in tune really well

I think the biggest improvement that could be made would be better tuning machines, but at this price point they are sufficient and seem to hold

Can't go wrong - worth paying a little extra to get better quality instrument, better strings and a much easier tuning machine - delighted with this - great seller and great price!!

She loves tuning it with the electric tuner
