Well, friction tape isn't like normal tape

Friction tape always works for those lumpy connections where plastic or vinyl tapes fail

This friction tape worked like a charm!

I also feel friction tape is easier to work with in cold/damp

(In the electrical department, not the paint department where all the other tapes are.)3M 3407NA friction tape is also great, but different.
