Before Spraying a 2K clear I sprayed my sanded headlights with this adhesion promoter and it crackled when I sprayed it, sprayed it again and same thing.

Maybe this Dupli-color is for some other plastic that has a smooth shiny look and you want to paint over it without sanding.

I learned that some items in which minimal prep is needed or you can't sand much due to not wanting to lose the texture that paint does not adhere well

If the piece will exposed to the outdoor elements, using an adhesion promoter designed for plastics is key.

If not, I'd just use a cheaper, self etching grey primer.

I use this as a primer on slippery plastic parts on model railroad locomotives and it works great with acrylic paints to help keep it from flaking off

Clear primer that is easy to apply, with very good nozzle on sprayer, and effective adhesion to plastic.

I sanded all of this off and used primer and it worked great

I realized this is nothing more than a ketone/ether/IPA of sorts, save your money and use IPA or a can of starter fluid, scuff the surface and paint,

Not only will the paint adhere well to the plastic, the finish is likely to stand up much better to the elements.

This item works as advertised, tried it on metal because I did not want to etch and the paint adhesion was strong even on the masking plastic barrier.
