Another one of the missing items would be the fine tuner for the E string

The tuner that it came with wasn't even worth it because it didn't work and the back wouldn't stay on

The tuners are friction pegs, which are a bit more difficult to use, compared to a geared tuner, but they work exactly as expected and seem to be made out of real ebony.

The fine tuners on the string mounts work well and seem to hold the strings in place just fine.

but once you secure them and broad tune they will hold nicely while you employ the fine tuners

It comes with everything you need to play, but the tuner is hard to use (we ended up having to tune the violin by ear to the piano)
