But, beyond having a pretty "tinny" sound, my chief complaint about this unit is the design, specifically that the skip-forward/skip-backward buttons double as the volume controls.

It sounds very good for such a compact design.

It is a well designed device, but I wish there were some indication of whether the battery is fully charged of nearly empty.

The industrial design isn't intuitive but just read the directions.
