    • It has the best recipes for healthy eating and well as excellent informative articles on food and nutrition
    • Despite the typical focus/obsession on animal-derived proteins, they've got really wonderful articles

    • I've subscribed to Cooking Light for several years, but found that it has declined over the years: excessive advertising, too many non-cooking-related articles, too many recipes that weren't particularly "light".Amazon had a good deal on Eating Well, and so I decided to give it a shot.

    • Each publishes an annual recipe book, but the articles from the magazine are worth the subscription if you are interested in all aspects of "healthy living" from food to skin care.
    • I especially enjoyed in the last issue a large article on faux foods and the differences between getting a loaf of long shelf life bread, the kind most of us eat, or an artisan loaf of whole wheat and the points as to why we should pick the ones with actual food value over convienence

    • Both magazines have good articles on nutrition, but CL concentrates more on reducing calories while EW has a more wholistic approach to healthy eating that centers on whole, seasonal, sustainably raised foods.
