Completely dead batteries get a green light when I put them into the charger (meaning they're charged).Like the last one

Since the batteries I bought from Amazon Basic were brand new/right out of the box and they are advertised as coming pre-charged all eight when connected to the EBL recharger turned the status lights red and stayed that way for a good hour after plugging in
