Works great charging my batteries.

This is good because excessive heat indicates overly aggressive charging which shortens battery life

While working the charger is great however I only got 3 charges before it burned out

Love that the batteries charge separately and have individual charge displays.

so i cant say how warm it will get when charging 4 low batteries.. make sure you let the device cool off between sets of batteries and

When that charger indicated all the batteries were fully charged, I inserted them in the EBL charger and after s few seconds, the icons indicated one battery was fully charged while the remaining three showed various levels of incomplete charge.

It "trickle charges" which means the batteries take a long time to charge but that also maintains the longevity of the batteries (versus fast charging which will age your batteries rather quickly).Also this charger is perfect for ni-CD type rechargeable batteries.

Neither the charger not the batteries get hot during charging, just warm

500 mh, charge rate, the AA's do not get nearly as warm as the 1000 mh charge rate of the EBL Universal Battery Charger.

It is a trickle (overnight) charger, but this type of slow charging allows the batteries to be recharged more times and maintain the proper voltages longer, than fast or quick chargers.

Works well enough, batteries are a bit hard to take outUpdate:EBL sent me another one to test out, the replacement is still a bit hard to take out but the batteries charge well enough

This is a nice unit with a nice charge status display, only down side is that AAA Batteries are hard to get out after charging.
