They block out unwanted noise

I wanted something that was more noise isolating than those are for use in a noisy work environment, and when I went looking at all the 'top noise isolating' reviews, they said to try these before you drop $200 on a top-shelf pair

does everything it claims to do (comfortable, adjustable, noise isolating, pure sound)- flexible and durable (owned and used for almost 2 years)- fits over my ears perfectly (average size, I think)- lightning sale

Good noise canceling.

Also, while these aren't noise-cancelling in and of themselves, I can get lost in my music and not hear my family mucking about.

They masked outside noise pretty good and had very good sound quality

These headphones have a nice clarity, good bass, and good-enough noise cancelling

Not sure if they are exactly noise isolating or cancelling, but still great.

These are very comfortable, have great sound quality, and have very good noise cancelling abilities

Lightweight, noise reduction almost perfect and no heavy coil to snap your head

But that's not the same as the active noise cancellation available on high-end headphones

I must say however that the adjective "Noise-Isolating " is a bit misleading as they are no more or no less noise isolating than any other good over-the-ear headphones.

Lovely balance for sound, good noise reduction for my cubicle job, no hair mess, comfortable on ears.

Says the sound is amazing for Pandora (listened to 'Rhapsody in Blue' as a test), super clear, and the noise-canceling feature works really well

I personally really enjoy the muffled background noise, as I can still be aware of my surroundings while still focusing/prioritizing my work with my own music or online lectures

(A subjective judgment based upon limited use, your opinion might differ.)The over-the-ear design generally muffles outside noise -- but much more isolating when playing music through them

The earcups surround your ears, so they do isolate ambient noise...certainly better than earbuds
