    Educated: A Memoir

    • EducatedI had a difficult time in the first half of the book reading of the dominant father and the mother who was so subservient to him
    • Highly recommend this memoir, although it has a decent amount of rather explicit gore, so if you’re someone who has a hard time handling that stuff it might not be a great book for you.
    • Spoilers!Every time Tara returns to her family, it is like a horror movie scene watching the main character go down in the nightmare basement again (sometimes literally a dark basement), yet you know that’s the only way the story can keep flowing, feeding itself as you witness this fresh rehashing of terror
