    Electro-Harmonix Soul Food Distortion/Fuzz/Overdrive Pedal

    • I can get the classic Thin Lizzy "Jailbreak" tone or go very heavy when the Drive is maxed
    • There are better, but this is and seems to give a great tone.
    • Also a great drive for that nice crunchy tone!
    • In a low gain setting it function as an awesome clean boost - fattening up the tone of my Tele like a champ
    • Nice tones, good boost.
    • Nice tones, good boost.
    • Great tones for Blues, Soul, Classic Rock etc
    • Warm blues tones great on their own or cascaded into a plump Marshall or Mesa...
    • I love the small lightweight box, and the basic tone, and plan to improve upon it by sending it to a shop that does those standardized modifications.

    • Great tone from this baby.
    • Wonderful tone options in the 'amp working' overdrive sound
    • I play, most often, through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe which has a great clean tone and is made to sound better by the Soul Food pedal.

    • It's a cutting overdrive with great tone through a tube amp.
    • I love the tone for a partial crunch sound
    • The same math that bends a guitar's sine wave into something like a square wave and gives it that raspy electric sound, takes an electric violin's sharp sawtooth wave and tamps it down to something less harsh, more like an acoustic's tone
    • The only way your going to get tone this good for this price is if you build it yourself
    • There are separate gain and volume controls and the treble control is a nice way to dial in how bright you want your tone to
    • This pedal is a great clean buffer pedal and has definitely enhanced or "sweetened" up my tone.
