I have taken it down to the dimmest setting and it's still creating a little bit of light in my completely dark room
-
Sun lit room, well lit room, or even dimly lit room, projecting about 9.5 feet onto a wall, almost invisible in a sun lit room or well lit room, slightly better in a dimly lit (only light from a 40 watt bulb heavily shaded) room but not easily readable.
-
I like a dark room with little light.
-
I like a dark room when I sleep.
-
We just turn the blue lights off at night (we like a really dark room) and the red projection on the ceiling is bright enough to read but does not illuminate the room.
-
Also if you like a very dark room at night you should get the red display, not the blue
-
You can turn off the front display and just have the time on the ceiling, so the room stays dark.
-
The projected display is visible when the room is dark.
-
It lights up a dark room, even though it has the feature of not showing the displayed time.
-
Can turn off display completely while projections stays on - so the room can stay nice and dark.3
-
The projector for the time is amazing, you cannot see it unless your room is completely dark so its not distracting at all
-
The other models had a glow behind the projected numbers that illuminated my whole room
-
Four stars because it is difficult to push any buttons without moving the clock around and then you have wait for a dark room to make sure the projected time is properly aligned.
-
I like the projection even more since it is very dim (only visible when the room is dark) and enlarged on my ceiling
-
The projected time is soft but easy to see in a dark room
-
The light at any dimmer level does not brighten the room to any extent for those who need it very dark to sleep
-
Completely dim the display to keep the room nice and dark but still be able to see the time with a glance to the ceiling!
-
The clock is about 12 feet away from the wall, and while being about 5 feet away from the numbers, the are legible when the room is dark.
-
I like a dark room but still need to know what time it is
-
I purchased a dimming sheet and still have to use the medium display setting to darken my room before bed
-
I don't since I prefer a darker room.
-
I like a dark room but still need to know what time it is
-
I need a dark room to be able to sleep well, and the internal time display in this clock is much too bright
-
Especially in a dark room
-
This is a good feature as the time on the clock front can seem bright in a dark room
-
I need a dark room for sleeping
-
It doesn't brighten the room at all
-
The red projection doesn't give off any illumination which keeps the room nice and dark
-
The projector for the time is amazing, you cannot see it unless your room is completely dark so its not distracting at all
-
Works well at camp, display can be dimmed for darker room at night
-
Now I can discretely see the time on my wall without illuminating the whole room.
-
Also if you like a very dark room at night you should get the red display, not the blue
-
and I love the feature of having the time displayed on the ceiling when the room is dark
-
We just turn the blue lights off at night (we like a really dark room) and the red projection on the ceiling is bright enough to read but does not illuminate the room.

I like a dark room when I sleep.
-
Projection brightness is weak but OK for darkened room.
-
I like a dark room with little light.
-
Love the feature that lets you turn down/off the front display..keeps the room quite dark.
-
The clock is lightweight, easy to read, easy to turn off the screen so the room is dark at night, and I love the projection of the time on the ceiling.
-
I've used some Dim-It sheets to help lower the brightness, but it's still quite bright in a dark room, even at the lowest setting.
-
In a dark room, this really stands out
-
even on low, it shines bright in a dark room
-
It does light up the room, but not enough to interfere with my sleep
-
I like a pretty dark room and I have to turn the clock away from
-
Projects time on ceiling at just the right brightness to be seen but without illuminating the room.
-
Projection is perfect and you can turn off the front blue led time to keep your room super dark
-
A dark unlit room, or night time, the projected time display works well, and is readable, particularly if you tweak the lens focus
-
Even on the lowest setting, it's too much for a completely dark room
-
I like a pretty dark room and I have to turn the clock away from
-
And the display can be dimmed (or if you like me and like a completely dark room) can be turned off.
-
The projector is cool and works very well, keeping in mind you can only see it in a dark room
-
I Like the size and that the display can be shut off completely to better darken the room-very few clocks have this option
-
The projected time is clear and easy to read at night and the white display is dim enough to not over-brighten a dark room.
-
You can set 1 alarm for the weekdays M-F and the other alarm for the Weekend
-
But since I work a normal M-F job, and it has dual alarms, it's not something I have to mess with much
-
You can set one alarm, or both alarms, for a single day, M-F, weekends only or all seven days of the week
-
We set the alarm M-F and don't have to worry about it going off on the weekends
-
Does not take up a lot of room - Brightness controls - Ceiling projection - M-F alarm - LOVE IT!
