Odd, eh?Anyhow - I couldn't afford another set of Definitive Technology speakers

Its almost like you have a totally different set of speakers when watching movies compared to listening to music.

This set is not super cheap, however it does deliver the expected amount of power with the correct amp and can produce a great listening experience if you are not expecting high end, you can stop looking.

I recommend this set to all of my friends looking for a basic 5.1 setup and those that bought it have not been disappointed.

I WAS initially concerned about my choice of speakers after setting them up because they sounded thin and flat; although they did sound better than the 85w cheap-o set I replaced them with, there was no depth

This set isn't cheap or inexpensive, it has value (bang for buck).I'm using AWG 16 speaker cable and I regret not buying the banana plugs ahead of time, so get those too

Well I did buy another set (this one was in perfect condition) to expand my theater to 7.2, and just watched a movie recorded in DTS 7.1.

Great set of speakers

I was on the cusp of buying a really nice set of headphones and separate mic when I came across these, and decided that I'd rather give 5.1 speakers a run instead of stereo headphones if I was going to be working with two devices anyways

When streaming movies the center speaker has that vocal deficiency that all surround sound systems seem to have but was much better than the cheap set it replaced
