Epson Expression ET-3700 EcoTank Wireless Color All-in-One Supertank Printer with Scanner, Copier and Ethernet

    • With my old printer, it seemed like I had to buy new expensive color ink cartridges every month, even when I was specifying black and white printing
    • Printer manufacturers for years now, including Epson, have been almost giving away printers so that we have to buy overpriced teeny tiny ink cartridges and this is biggest reason I stopped printing unless absolutely necessary
    • I am so tired of paying a fortune for replaceable expensive ink cartridges, to the extent that one of the CEO's of a printer manufacturer said they could "give away the printers for free since they make all their money on the ink."This printer does away with all that and has so many added features, if it performs well in the next six months I will replace ALL our printers with this one
    • Because the genuine HP cartridges are now $20-$25 each, we use them until they run out, not just until the printer recommends changing it, to maximize the ink use
    • I got this printer just after purchasing another expensive cartridge for my existing printer that would probably last me 3 months
    • Nice enough printer, don't have to buy expensive and small color cartridges.

    • Gone are the days of insanely expansive cartridges
    • This was purchased as a replacement after HP decided to stop producing the expensive cartridges for my old printer
    • Reasonably priced ink refills, very long time between ink refills, eco-friendly (no disposable cartridges), fast, quiet enough, easy connectivity, easy to use
    • Fourty dollars later I installed a nice new cartridge
    • This felt like intrusive software was forcing me to buy overpriced cartridges
    • I guess beware of buying "genuine" HP cartridges at Walmart.
    • Besides being great for mobile printing, the fact that you do not have to constantly buy expensive ink cartridges, (that are also getting harder to recycle) makes this a real winner.
    • had Ethernet (it does not have an ADF)-because the ink bottles refill large tanks, you never need to drain a cartridge or fiddle with cartridges running out (a big bonus particularly with a 5-color product). After buying the ET-7700, I have to both rate it 5-stars and provide a basis of comparison for the testing
    • The EcoTank ink lasts very long compared to any other cartridge currently available, printing 6,500 black pages or 5,200 color pages.
    • I like the thought I no longer have to purchase those expensive ink cartridges
    • it is so nice to not be running to the store, to buy overpriced ink cartridges any longer.and it works well.
    • And, because there are no cartridges I don’t have to worry about compatibility of aftermarket replacements not working because of the chips that manufacturers put into their cartridges to ensure their printers only work with proprietary cartridges
    • No need to purchase expensive ink cartridges and comes with lots of ink
    • On a technical level, in the week or so of using this printer, it functions flawlessly on all levels (wireless printing, mobile printing from handheld devices, copy, scan, printing on CD's or DVD's, as well as a wide variety of other paper sizes and types of documents). This printer has the greatest value for people who might do high volume printing, IF Epson's claims about the number of prints possible with the Eco Tank system, being cheaper in the long run versus low priced "throw away" printers, using outrageously overpriced OEM inkjet cartridges
    • and you can print ton's without having to buy expensive ink cartridges
    • nice not having to purchase expensive ink cartridges
    • Still I think that for people who are intimidated by electronic devices, a cartridge is easier
    • The cartridge- free ink is the main feature that attracted me to this printer, as I get tired of constantly replacing ink cartridges
    • This printer sounded too good to be true - never having to buy another expensive ink cartridge?
    • I print enough that buying cartridges, even rebuilt cartridges had become expensive
    • Great printer and you get to say good bye to expensive ink cartridges.
    • Initial higher price but will recover the difference quickly with the savings of not constantly replacing expensive cartridges.
    • While cartridges are typically easy to replace, we like the bottle concept because of the potential for lower ink cost, and hopefully longer printer life.
    • but I’m sure we will make up the difference by not having to purchase expensive ink cartridges
    • Plus that could not print clearly after a year of use, bad print head and costly cartridges =$100/reload
    • Previously I had an HP printer that sucked up the ink like mad and the cartridges were very expensive to replace, so I had no alternative but to give it to someone else and look for a less expensive option
    • More and more printers are now available with cartridge free technology.
    • It is soooo nice not having to replace costly ink cartridges all the time, and not having to figure out how to recycle ink cartridges
    • One of the best printers I have had... especially due to the "The Expression ET-3700 EcoTank wireless all-in-one offers revolutionary cartridge-free printing with easy-to-fill, supersized ink tanks
    • I hated that my last printer would reject aftermarket ink cartridges calling them counterfeit
    • Decided to try a cartridge free printer.
    • For my quibbles, I don't like the paper cartridges or the output tray
    • Forget that the cartridges were expensive, but if just one color was empty, it would stop printing altogether until the color was replaced.
    • Not having to think about buying overpriced cartridges is a treat
    • My previous printer, an Epson WorkForce was getting crappy, and the cartridges were a pain to use, expensive and didn't always recognize new cartridges
    • Instead of replaceable cartridges, this printer has refillable ink tanks that are filled with bottles included with the printer.
    • No more cartridges with their small ink capacity and fickle circuitry that did nothing but trigger errors, drain the wallet and generate headaches (trying to find ways to avoid buying the pricey recommended refill cartridges).
    • So SO much better than the stupid ink cartridges
    • The only good thing about this printer is elimination of expensive replacement ink cartridges.
    • I spent $300 on this printer with the promise of not having to buy overpriced print cartridges anymore
    • When I randomly complained to him about my printer needing new cartridges, he told me to look up this line of printers.
    • The mechanisms work as if it is printing but the print head has stopped working and it delivers blank pages in spite of full ink supply and clean print head
    • Despite the cons, I would definitely recommend this printer as of now.(I will also note that I DID pay full price for this printer and received no compensation at all
    • I liked that they warned you it could stain (especially as I did this on my dining room table, which I then protected well) and that you can’t mismatch the ink to receptacle.
    • It works pretty much the same as with other Epson printers and installation was not too painful (A CD-ROM was included but there was a sheet of paper directing me to a URL to use instead to get the final version of the software)
    • Not only are they tanks but they hold a TON of ink, well not really a
    • n’t have to scratch with your fingernail to grasp it
    • n’t have complicated OCR work to do anymore and that’s why I stopped using ABBYY in the first place
    • I sort of miss not having an automatic document
