The prints are some of the best quality prints I've seen.

I had this printer for a few weeks and it has been a challenge to get any decent photo prints on anything except Premium Ultraglossy EPSON paper.

It never jams and prints acceptably well

I did notice that midtones and shadows tended to become too dark when printed, and modifying the levels in photoshop after printing a proof resulted in better prints.

One of the best printers I have had... especially due to the "The Expression ET-3700 EcoTank wireless all-in-one offers revolutionary cartridge-free printing with easy-to-fill, supersized ink tanks

The problem is that inking these printers drives me to the poorhouse and I often stop printing for months at a time simply because I can't afford the ink or the photo paper

But, if you are printing from web pages or other sources such as PowerPoint, Excel, etc, which use "spot color" versus continuous tone (photos) this printer will give entirely satisfactory results, since you are printing solid monochromatic colors in documents/text with bar charts or in outline content with solid colors to differentiate subject matter in text

The amount of ink is what makes this a worthy purchase, and how little you use while printing makes it even better

The REP seemed to show little concern for that statement and maybe the key words of concern are (DEDICATED borderless printing?)

After printing horizontal it will ask you on that small LCD which print came out the best in the first line (1-7), second line (1-7), third line (1-7) and so on (think there is like 7 lines, with)... really bad and time consuming, wish they came up with something better

If you don't need to print in color, my experience is that most people would be better off buying a less-expensive laser printer since toner cartridges last much longer than ink cartridges and are less-expensive over time with fewer problems, and is faster and has better print quality.

The print quality is pretty good ~ the photo quality isn't great, but I didn't have the correct photo paper, either, so printed on regular paper so pretty daggone good for regular paper.

I paid over $400 for my Artisan 1430 and it made beautiful prints, as long as i didn't mind paying through the nose for those seven ink cartridges.

I printed my first printout and it was horrible, so I followed the set up instructions to clean print heads and align the printer

I would recommend printing a sheet every couple of weeks to make sure everything keeps flowing well

Using plain paper the print quality is great and printing is fast and generally quiet (there's also a quiet mode you can enable on the printer)

The duplex printing on standard paper worked great.

The mechanisms work as if it is printing but the print head has stopped working and it delivers blank pages in spite of full ink supply and clean print head

But it seemed fast, with very good print quality, even for my test document with two photographs.

I found the prints to have higher saturation, and very good color printing

The only problem I had was that the print head clogged up a few times, but was recoverable by repeatedly running the print head cleaning until the pattern came out solid

Black printing is fine, but color is way too light and I cannot figure out how to adjust.

All told though, given that it has a scanner it would be harder to be smaller than the 8.5 x 11 paper it scans, and I'm willing to give up some bulk and weight inconvenience for the ink bottle setup and excellent print quality.
