It might be a bit tricky to learn more complex operations because some of the instructions are a bit lacking.

The film guides are a bit tedious, but can be used without them max neg size without guides approx 3"x10" area

Took me a bit to figure out the scanning for negatives (not good instruction) but it works great!

I ended up with files that were 160 to 175 MB which made all of my editing software choke a bit

Occasionally this auto-crop feature is a bit too aggressive and cuts off the sides of pictures

Bottom Line - Great, easy and fun scanner to use but a bit of a learning curve to know how to get the most out of this scanner.
