The only reason I bought this V550 was because you no longer supported my Epson Perfection 2480, which still worked great after many years of service, but not on current operating systems
-
Epson Scan (3.9.2.1) works, but when I go to close the software it hangs, and I have to close it using
-
The instructions don't mention removing the cover (or if they do, I certainly didn't "get it"), and even the Epson support site wasn't all that helpful in this respect
-
The Epson Perfection V550 scanner does an amazing job with the scans
-
When it fails, it leaves both the Epson software and the Epson scanner hung / frozen, meaning you have to force kill the software and power cycle to scanner to try again
-
the Epson V550 is super user friendly and does a killer job digitizing my analog
-
Sorry Epson.. at least I can say the Hewlett Packard replaces their equipment immediately.. none of the song a dance.
-
Money completely wasted - will not ever buy Epson again (had a epson
-
Thank you Epson.
-
The Epson works as advertised, Fast shipping from seller.
-
This is frustrating because I bought the V550 to replace my older beloved Epson 1650 that just would not work with Windows 10 after the anniversary update
-
Never did get it to work with Epson software or VueScan (which worked fine with another household scanner).
-
This is my second epson perfection scanner--replacing one I bought in 2004 that no longer had software support
-
So So Sad!!I have always loved Epson and have used nothing but Epson for years
-
But either I got that guy's returned machine, or Epson has a serious problem with quality control
-
Thank you Epson
-
Epson blamed it on Apple
-
If you are in the market for a film/slide scanner and are undecided, I would recommend the Epson V550
-
Again, it just feels like Epson passed this off and doesn't want to deal with that part of it
-
The Epson V550 scanner works great in several modes of operation, when it will work

At this price point, the Epson V550 is hard to beat
-
I had a less expensive Epson scanner and it did a fine job on regular size negatives and photos
-
I haven't called Epson (they'll probably blame me), but I am returning this unit for a Canon
-
In short, Good Bye Epson!
-
After several more attempts, I emailed EPSON regarding this issue and they provided me with a fix
-
The Epson V550 scanner was easy to set up -- instructions were easy to follow -- and the results are great
-
The Epson 1650 worked like a charm

How can I say this, but the glass is nothing more than a plan piece of cheap-o windowpane glass, not like the solid glass that Epson scanners used years previous, and the glass is not "smooth"
