Epson Perfection V550 Color Photo, Image, Film, Negative & Document Scanner with 6400 dpi (Certified Refurbished)

    • The photos were outstanding and what you can do with negatives is more than I would ever have expected
    • old photos is fantastic and easy.
    • As to the scan quality, my old Epson Perfection 1650 Photo does just as good of a job.
    • I'm not a super photo or tech enthusiast and just wanted a scanner that worked quickly and scanned good enough and this has more than met my expectations.
    • This one does a very nice job, and has the added benefit of being able to scan both photo negatives (remember those?) and slides
    • This scanner does photos pretty well, but I also bought it to scan and digitize documents.
    • I keep the flatbed completely clear of dust and smudges, and each bad photo is never in the same place.
    • Multiple photos are easy to separate as long as there is space between them.
    • So I'm still laboriously cleaning ancient photos for archiving.
    • I can scan quickly for documents or less important photo's, or I can get quality files when I scan important photo/negatives
    • Of course, now he wants to keep the photos as well
    • This photo works great and scans pretty fast compared to what
    • After reading some reviews, I chose to purchase this Epson Perfection Photo Scanner.
    • For bigger professional jobs, either find a larger scanner or just remove the top, lay it on its back to one side, then scan your piece in sections, and reassemble the scans in your favorite photo software
    • More experienced users might pass on the Easy Photo Scan as you have various modes on the normal Epson scan utility
    • I had hundreds of slides, negatives & old photos to copy to computer and this scanner does it with ease
    • So make sure your photos are ready!
    • Easy to set up and use 56 year old photos look great on computer can't wait to burn to CD.
    • Excellent photo scanner.
    • and I'm having a great time scanning old photos, negatives and slides
    • For the price this is a very good photo scanner,(especially when compared to my high priced Nikon 4000 ED ($2,000 new) which decided on its own to just quit working.
    • Does a great job of scanning as well as i was very impressed how well it restored a 20 year old photo
    • The downside is that this scanner only has ICE Light, which means that the "technology" to remove scratches only works when scanning negatives, not photos.
    • Old photos are clear after scan.
    • This is a nice scanner - I've been scanning 2 strips of 35mm color film at a time - but at least one random photo (and sometimes all) from each strip scans the "person's" eyes blotted out and it ruins the photo.
    • Although this is not a pro-grade scanner it does a great job in scanning clean photos and documents.
    • needed a decent, reasonably cheap but still quality photo, slide, and negative copier all in one
    • Does a good job of cleaning up old photos.
    • One shot in particular has quite a few scratches, but this scanner restored the photo enough to make it usable.
    • The software does a nice job of enhancing old photos
    • How can I say this, but the glass is nothing more than a plan piece of cheap-o windowpane glass, not like the solid glass that Epson scanners used years previous, and the glass is not "smooth"
