I did NOT get rid of headaches: I DID get non-stop troubleshooting, more expensive ink cartridges that dry up even if you don't use them (and are also proprietary military technology that cannot be replicated or substituted
-
What I did note was that most of the gripes in the reviews had to do with the expensive cartridges
-
The oversize black cartridge is designed to extend into the slot to the left of the normal size cartridge
-
The cartridges are too expensive also
-
take off one star for expensive ink cartridges.
-
So now I'm stuck buying very expensive ink cartridges from
-
Turns out, the criminal EPSON drains the OTHER THREE color cartridges in black/grayscale and forces you to buy them even though there
-
If you do more then 1000 prints/month look at an even bigger printer $600+.Most printer manufactures try to prevent you from using compatible cartridges but Epson seems to be the most successful at identifying and rejecting compatible cartridges
-
I have another one at home and tried switching cartridges and they work fine in the other printer so it is not a cartridge problem but a printer problem!
-
(though typically it should only take about half at most of a cartridge to print all I need, but this one takes around three), and I cannot afford to buy the yellow cartridge and I am so frantic trying to figure out how to print right now or how to afford another cartridge
-
No refurbished or cheaper cartridges available
-
Starter B & W cartridges, good for maybe 25 sheets

No refurbished or cheaper cartridges available

The oversize black cartridge is unreliable

-
BEWARE: this only takes Epson cartridges, no third party cartridges available
-
The machine is good, but it eats up ink cartridges very quickly, and compatible ink cartridges are expensive.
-
They have now sent me two free cartridges.
-
after I purchased it, I realized why such a great printer was so inexpensive... the cartridges are like $70 for a new set, and you can ONLY use Epson cartridges in it
-
The black cartridge is defective please replace.
-
Knock-off cartridges don't seem to work at all
-
Eventually, I am sure there will be recycled cartridges available eventually ; however, I don't think they will perform quite as well as the Epson cartridges.
-
But the real problem is how few pages you get for your ink cartridge and how expensive the cartridges themselves are for how few printed pages you get from them
-
The unit requires excessive head cleaning, which eats up expensive ink cartridges
-
Costly ink cartridges
-
The cartridges are not cheap
-
This printer was very easy to set up - tape off, cartridges in, and then a quick download of driver files (on a MacBook), and first printing about 20 minutes out of the box.
-
Ordered large capacity B & W cartridge for $44 and now printer wont work because yellow is out
-
Well, cartridges were easy, but how do you clean a print head whose only sanctioned method of cleaning is to do so within software, which you can't get to when an error screen is keeping you out
-
There is NO alternative but the overpriced genuine Epson cartridges
-
It is mind boggling as to why people think it’s slow, I’ve never had any issues at all
-
Stay as far away from this printer as you can!Error 031008

Reacts super fast t a print command, and is super quiet compared to my Brother I previously owned
