I am planning to return the printer today and purchasing a printer that is a little more expensive with cheaper ink.
-
The black ink well is large and can be replaced independently with an oversized chamber upon ink refill, which is an incredible convenience for us
-
This would be a fantastic printer except for the fact that the ink is EXPENSIVE and there is no one that I have found that does the off brand
-
It can do a ton of pages on these color cartridges, and this is a huge plus since ink is so expensive
-
It has the most expensive ink per ounce and per
-
A black proprietary ink cart will cost you $50 if you can find it locally (1/2 the cost of the printer.
-
Many other all-in-ones for about the same price but not totally expensive inks.
-
no other ink "EVEN IF IT SAYS IT'S COMPATIBLE" will work
-
The pricey Epson ink cartridges are definitely a major bummer, but overall this is a really great/reliable printer that I am happy with, and have no reservations in recommending IF you're okay with the current price of the ink
-
The ink for this printer is ridiculously overpriced (about $170 to replace all 4 XL cartridges) and Epson just slipped in a "firmware update" that causes the printer to reject third party ink that up to that point had been functioning perfectly.
-
But by pricing it not far out of the range of most consumer printers and then making the ink A) proprietary/chipped and B) exorbitantly expensive, all EPSON have done is shoot themselves in the foot
-
The biggest drawback is the ink
-
It suffers from over zealous paper feeding as it hardly prints just on one page at a time, and there has yet to be a page without missing ink and smudges
-
My black ink works for now.
-
The big downfall, and it is a big one, is cost off ink and this makes it easy to take off a star.
-
Ink is costlier than gold and you are tied to Epson brand ink because of a chip
-
I wish the ink were cheaper, but I'd say that about any inkjet printer

-
The printer is not reliable, customer service stinks, the ink is too expensive and
-
’s probably the quietest ink jet I’ve personally used
-
This printer is saving me money, the ink is more affordable and lasts longer than my Canon color laser printer; not 50% cheaper, but closer to 30%
-
I'm ready for more black ink and color soon, but with the incredulous ink prices the best choice based on the purchase price of the WF-4750 is to dump it in the recycle bin and try a different machine
-
The printer is pretty cheap, and for a cheaper printer the ink isn't bad.
-
Also the ink is super expensive.
-
No paper jam, no ink issues, no power issues, just died
-
The ink is expensive, but i will say that set up (at least in Win10) was simple
-
I went to replace ink today and almost bought a different printer that I know has cheaper ink or the off brand availability
-
Constant error messages, cheap construction, and expensive ink
-
The print heads clog and that requires a lot of time and using a lot of costly ink to run through the nozzle cleaning process multiple times
-
Epson has made it so that it only accepts proprietary ink cartridges.
-
The Epson ink for this printer is outrageously expensive in my opinion
-
I received an email for cartridge maker that said if you update firmware these inks are dead in the water.
-
Ink is expensive and hard to find.
-
Just the ink is very overpriced
-
Their ink is just too damn expensive
