I feel that these strings are not what they say they are, when i tryed to tune my guitar the strings broke before i got it tuned
-
Phenomenal guitar strings with a nice warm tone.
-
I absolutely love these strings and have been using them since they came out years ago - relatively low stretch when new, they last a long time if you keep your them clean, and it is amazing how well my guitars stay in tune, even with (sometimes) weeks in between use
-
Older guitars often have this magic where you get fantastic projection without brittleness or strident tone
-
I'm sure they are great on the right guitar since the lighter gauges are nice.
-
Im not a great guitar player and had resigned myself to believing that I could never get that nice warm tone I hear from better guitar players or more expensive acoustics
-
All I can say is that it is like a different guitar: easy to play, my hands don't get fatigued any more, and it sounds twangier, which is the kind of sound I prefer
-
I stumbled on to a blog where a guy had almost the same problem and a fellow told him to use 80/20 strings not PB on cedar top guitars
-
and these mediums are preferable to the med lights for me, but if your a fancy guitar picker or want less pain in the fingers go lighter
-
Unfortunately, these thicker strings do not deliver that bright, sparkly sound that the lighter gauge do, but they DO keep the neck straight and sound "OK", but I will need to research better sounding guitar.
-
I have never played a guitar long enough to judge the different manufactures.
-
Having broken my wrist as I originally go into playing the guitar, I purchased these strings to replace my old ones and they have been great.
-
My guitar thanks you as well (grin).

As soon as I started to sting my guitar, the new string popped
-
My old guitar sounds better than ever with these strings- rich warm....nice
-
I was really surprised at the quality, even on my crappy little guitar
-
In addition the guitar chimes like a bell!
-
Great for cheaper guitars
-
They actually make the guitar sound like a more expensive instrument!
-
Very nice guitar strings
-
I've used Ernie Ball Slinky's often for recording and gigs, both bass and guitar, never a problem
-
they far exceded my expectations these suckers deliver such a crisp warm sound that they practicaly bring your acoustic guitar to life if u have a nice guitar or a cheap guitar i have a gibson and also a youth guitar i put these on both and they are rocking man!
-
I've purchased volume discount sets and they sound and last longer than other popular guitar strings!
-
I am trying to find a good acoustic guitar string set that I can bend at least a half step and still maintain good guitar tone a la GNR Patience

-
these are EXTRA light strings, so they tend to sound tinny on less expensive guitars
-
For the sake of experimentation, I replaced only the G string with an alternate string I had lying around and have no tuning issues whatsoever anymore
-
Usually the G-string on my acoustic snaps within a couple of weeks, but so far so good with these strings.

-
As others have mentioned, the G is unwound which you may or may not like; it doesn't seem to make much difference to me
-
The high G string broke as I was tuning it to pitch
-
If you favor a unwound G, you can pickup a set of Ernie Ball 2008 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Rock & Blues Acoustic String Set, (10 - 52), which have a bigger E string as well
-
but as of now, not too happy with the sound that is coming from the strings.
-
A few of them broke as I was tightening them
-
I've used Ernie Ball strings for years on my 12 guitar as well as on my 6 string.
