Even on the rolling hills of highway 20, this device picks up radar from at least 1.5 to 2 miles away, giving me ample time to rein it in before Johnny Law sees me breaking his precious speed limits

Love this, it has saved my butt numerous times.

Works well in most band ranges but it has a horrible time with K Band at 2.4 ghz

You will know when the time is right to put the pedal to the metal, just not in the wrong places.

The detection range is spot on, I usually get 15+ seconds of alert to an approaching radar which is more than enough time to slow down

If anyone tells you that is separates radars from bank alarms and security, well he is wrong every time i go into a plaza it gets crazy, for me i tucked it in and using it only on highways, as for me its 0 for the city.

On the highway, it picks up KA band with more than enough time to adjust your speed accordingly

I probably don't spend enough time writing positive reviews on many items I purchased, but I believe this item defintely requires a consumer warning

full disclosure, my last experience with a detector was several years ago - K band was the hot new thing at the time - and I was rocking a brand new Belltronics that saved me countless times (and failed me twice - thanks "instant on" K band radar

It can often alert me to cops who have their guns ON a quarter of a mile away, certainly in enough time to slow down, almost all of the time, If a come doesnt have it on it work,

Performance is excellent with a very good amount of lead time after detection

But, on other days, I get an alert easily a 1/4 to 1/2 mile before I pass the patrol vehicle, (if I see it at all), enough time to make adjustments if needed, but again, no where near the range others have claimed.

It has been quite reliable giving me more than adequate time to slow down

later i decide to test it on the road, drove for 30 mins in city and kept doing same thing, every other minute alert to full ka band while my cobra was quiet the whole time, it was so irritating, I have also recorded the video which i will be uploading soon on you tube in which you can see both cobra and this

The higher end models have features that I believe are unnecessary, this can be a great bargain if bought at the right time

for me the detector helps keep me more alert while driving and makes it more enjoyable especially when it alerts to a Highway Patrol a mile up giving me more than enough time to slow and not stick out... i had a valentine and while it is excellent in detecting very early it was causing me to slow down way before i actually really needed to... taking a lot longer to acquire the actual source of the radar... so to sensitive for

One year with it and no problems, guve me more than enough time to reduce the speed and i live in a curve mountains that in the highway should be even better
