The tool they provided worked well for bending and breaking the rails to the right size.

These are the perfect sized frames for my filing cabinets.

The included "tool" for re-sizing the frames is a small piece of plastic that is nowhere near strong enough to break the metal bars down to the correct size

and I'm glad I did, my husband was able to cut it down to the right size of 13 inches.

I purchased this particular one because the smaller size is hard to find.

but I needed my husband to break the bars to the right size for the drawer

Fortunately we had a couple of pairs of pliers and some strong guys around to wrestle the pieces down to the correct size-- after that was dealt with, the frames have worked quite well for us.

I used the claw end of a hammer to bend and break the bar to the correct size, and had no problems - and I'm a little old lady!
