All in all it is an incredible device with a very premium feel and lightning fast performance

so you have a super clean device which really turns heads when out in public

I really wanted to love this device, however just too many hardware and software issues

However as the device stands now for the cost now I can safely say it is one of the best value and most unique devices available in the Spring of 2018

This is essential first build and while it's not a rounded perfect device, if you consider what you need, actually need in a phone, it's perfect

Like every Android device I've used or tested it has its own quarks, nothing to horrible though, at least in my case

This is the first generation Essential PH-1, and there have been weird quirks and bugs, and that's to be expected, but Essential has done what no other modern device manufacturer does: updates and customer service

What a clean device!Build quality is TOP NOTCH

When I first got this phone, it seemed quite buggy and would completely freeze up from time to time, but after many software updates, including camera app updates, this is my favorite device out of any I have ever used

It's beyond frustrating that such a great device requires me to choose between charging my phone and continuing to listen to whatever I have on

I was impressed by the amount of space offered on such a reasonably priced device, but the poor camera/speakers/display aren't worth it to me

While there are some downsides to this phone that may deter some people from purchasing it, the Essential Ph-1 is a truly great device, especially when you consider that this is the company's first phone

In summary, it's not a perfect device, but excellent hardware coupled with "pure" Android leave the PH-1 with a lot going for it

I also find it a lot harder for companies to offer a truly great device in the mid range price bracket than the top end

The device worked good for a while, it is minimal like I wanted, quick performance, battery lasts a full day with no problem and the overall feel was great

The phone feel nice enough but without support attached to it, it's a worthless device.

But this phone is about getting the best, about having a pure Android device backed by a company that's constantly pushing updates and giving their customers the freedom to customize their phone and make it their own

The device regularly freezes and reboots itself

An uncluttered phone has to be experienced; once you've enjoyed a device without the garbage, you can't go back

This is amazing if you want your device to look clean and elegant

and I can honestly say that this device is worth every cent

After a month of use, I can comfortably say this is a fantastic device and Essential continues to support it with bi-monthly updates

I didn't have any hiccups any slowdowns the device did get a little warm after extended gameplay

I hope the community (over reddit) will continue to help each other and the developers can hung on there updating a great device such the phone is.

The body absolutely does collect fingerprints, but the device always looks sharp, so it doesn't bother me in the slightest

I have bought and received 3 defective devices with the most recent being screen bleeding and failure to respond to touch.

I really liked this phone its worked great for 2 weeks now the screen doesn't turn on

I didn't like the small body, though, as I like the way my Nexus fits in my hands

Crosschecked the USB-C to UCB-C cable and (AUT) power adapter, all working fine

They include a great charger and USB-C to headphone cable

I do wish it had a dedicated headphone jack but the included USB-C adapter works well enough and seems to be of high quality

845 chipset(c) Worst complaint is on the lack of headphone.
