Leaving the US I was at 35 lbs, well under the 50 lb limit.

This scale shouldn't be used to get every ounce out of your 50 lbs limit

Unfortunately I didn't get to see the airport's weight, however, it met Spirit's 40 lb limit.

For really heavy bags (around the 50lb limit) it can be a bit of a struggle to lift and weigh the bag
