The cord itself is firm yet still flexible, measuring just under 1/4" in thickness, and has enough length to get away from surge suppressors but not so much as to add unnecessary bulk behind the entertainment center

I use these for a number of reasons, but typically for plugging AC adapter "wall warts" into power strips, but also when that power cord falls just short of the optimal length.

These are just way more convenient than having a tub of extension cords, where you would have to find the perfect length, instead of just attaching however many 1-foot cords you need.

While I initially thought it was silly to make such a short extension, the length is perfect to allow access to each plug on the UPS while not making cord management more of a nightmare

They're just the right length to distance any wall wart / odd shaped connector from the power strip / UPS to allow you to keep everything plugged in and organized without taking up precious outlets.
