I thought I read in one review that you had a firmware update that would remove the 'beep' tone on power-up (or for any alert feature), I will be using this while on road trips and the beep is pretty loud and may disturb others family members who are already asleep when I turn it on

This wouldn't be so bad except that with in conjunction with #1 you get a super loud beep that may get you at the border of a art attack

I do not like the very loud beep that is emitted when the unit is turned on and there is no way to disable it.

The only minor negative is when it is turned on and not connected to a blue tooth device, it makes a loud beep every few minutes to let you know it is not connected

After less than 6 months, the first one did nothing but emit a loud beep even after charging

even if you charge it and store it for a month, still get 8 hours.i couple this with my regony e-flex portable solar panel when camping or on the beach
