I hear lots of annoying noises during quiet passages or when no music is playing

The sound is clear, however include noise (car electric line noise) filter like some other adapters, so 1 star off

So the GOOD: as far as sound quality goes and static noise, there is no static and the sound quality is better than the Blackberry module

If you decide to use it while charging, You get an audible whining noise

And, when that button is pressed, the device injects this loud-to-the-point-of-being-painful noise into the stereo.
