I am not a "drummer", but for me this item worked to give my old kick head an extended life period.

It does a good job of making that solid kick sound and deadens out the ring.

They make the bass sound more awesome and provide a really awesome kick sound to it, especially when you have plastic beaters

I have a 22" kick and it enhances my kit now my fills sound rich
