Old supply died and after a few minutes of testing, found it was the main supply capacitor.

Also unless you are pushing your PSU to limits of wattage that you shouldn't even with a better power supply, the overpower protection is not an issue

arrived before the estimated delivery date, very nice power supply, i'm using it with a asus h61m-k pair with a core i5 3470 ,8gigs of ddr3 samsung memory at 1600 mhz, a couple of 500 gb seagate hard drives and a amd r9 290, everything work flawesly

The semi-modularity is a nice touch for anyone looking to cut down on cables!I'll revisit this review if anything were to happen in the near future, but for now, I'd easily recommend this PSU and any in its family for anyone looking for a budget-friendly but powerful power supply.
