I love the subplots and missions.

Overall these missions were great

It has issues in certain special mission scenes where important keystokes, like for aim and fire, do not work.

After Far Cry 2 left a bitter taste in my mouth with its boring empty world and mediocre story and missions, I just didn't have much hope for Far Cry 3

Love the open world format, you can do missions or you can putz around the islands.

Somewhat repetitive mission types,

it was... ...terrible, almost the same mission over and over again, long walks, not very good at all

Another annoying aspect is if you begin a mission (you do this by coming into a certain distance of the mission area) you cannot leave the area or you will fail the mission

The net to me in terms of rating - 5 stars for the open world and in the realistic portions decent AI and fun side missions - and a zero stars for the ludicrous BBs and associated cutscenes

I almost get thru a very looong intense mission only to 'die' at the very end then have to RE-PLAY the whole episode

Not enough action, and the missions seem dull as well.

This game is a great installment of the FC world, stunning open world gameplay and setting, varied missions and side missions and some interesting story elements

Mission Failure

Second, I loved Far Cry 1, Skyrim, Modern Warfare 1 and 2 and won't buy MW 3 because of the reviews and lack of positive input on single player and special missions -- I prefer single player and special missions when I don't feel like fighting the hackers, cheaters and whiners in the multiplayer drama

If you resort to run and gun you are advised that you failed the mission

Not just mission failure, but actual restart of the game back at a safehouse or check point
