    Far Cry 3 - PC

    • When I contrast that nonsense involving a fantasy monster in the first BB, to the never-ending clone attacks in the 2nd BB, and the third cut scene BB involving specific prompted actions, I was left wondering what committee came up with this because I couldn't imagine a single director throwing in such bizarre elements in an otherwise good open world FPS.
    • Far Cry 2 took the whole "Realism" thing to a fault and dropped you in a fairly unfun, static but beautiful world
    • The Open world is fun to
    • The first 2 actually require you to make some decisions - to fire and manuever some, albeit in an immersion-breaking fantasy in an otherwise mostly realistic world.
    • Main boss battles go to a cut scene animation most times where you only need to press the correct button at the correct time, very un-open-world like in this aspect
    • What I can talk about is the single player mode, which combines some spectacular scenery, and a somewhat realistic world in that if you stray off the roads into the lush jungle or swim in certain areas then you'll find you're not really at the top of the food chain.
    • Overall, Far Cry 3 sports amazing visuals, a great story and memorable characters, the huge open world is fun to explore, but the hunting and crafting mechanics feel a bit forced and under developed
    • It is an very well done open world FPS, to me the best in years that encompasses and executes everything that makes such games so enjoyable almost flawlessly.
    • Far Cry 3 is an open world FPS with beautiful gfx, great voice acting, and perhaps the best experience you'd ever had in 2012
    • but to me it is more of a fantasy game, than the believable world of FC2.
    • The mix of running and gunning and crafting and questing might not be for everyone, but I think anyone looking for a kind of modern world first person action RPG will be happy with what they see here
    • Very enjoyable open world experience which gave you several options to complete the numerous goals.
    • Great open-world experience, interesting story-line, good graphics, and a variety of weapons to wreck havoc with. 5 stars!
    • The color palette was washed out and heinously brown, the world felt lukewarm and monotonous.
    • So this time through I spent more time enjoying the scenery invetigating the side roads and the rich open world environment
    • I still own and play the game occasionally to enjoy the open world.
    • The gameplay mechanics are near-perfect, the story is engrossing, the world is intriguing and beautiful, the characters are AMAZING, and the game is overall extremely fun
    • Great graphics, vast worlds, good story, great AI, and the animals really give the island life
    • Less philosophically, the game sometimes feels like a bit of a mish-mash between a linear, story-driven adventure and an open-world free-for-all, with the two sides of the game not meshing as well as they good
    • The normal game play with the ludicrous boss battles is already disheartening against the relatively lush and rich natural open world setting - but with a major bug like this that Ubisoft has yet to even acknowledge - pass on this one for solo play, it sucks big time!
    • Far Cry 2 took the whole "Realism" thing to a fault and dropped you in a fairly unfun, static but beautiful world
    • I think that's the really fun part of this game - the open world is rich, and the first half of the game when you're low on resources is fun and challenging - but after the first BB it becomes a bit repetitious and easier to win most confrontation the first time
    • It's such a lush, beautiful world to explore, but you really have to watch where you're going
    • And the AI has no peripheral vision, but overall it's an enjoyable open-world FPS.
    • Secondly, the world is 100% dynamic.
    • The whole world feels more lively this time around and less empty
    • This game is a great installment of the FC world, stunning open world gameplay and setting, varied missions and side missions and some interesting story elements
    • It struck me as though there were warring factions amongst the game's design team between those wanting an Arcade game BB extravaganza and those wanting an involved story line where the hero saves his friends in a rich open world.
    • i had a ball with this game the open world was fun to explore
    • Great gameplay and a MASSIVE Open world to explore, So much more packed in this game than the previous 2
