It provides grip to the 2DS but also added weight to it, I personally like how lightweight the 2DS is

Fit nice and securely for my shiny New Nintendo 2DS XL and a dedicated kick stand that’s all.

Before, the 2DS was incredibly difficult to remove from the grip (it's necessary since there is no way to access the cart slot with the grip attached) but since one of the tabs broke off, it comes out a lot easier

Fits the 2DS like a glove, allows you to access the power and volume, and even has a little kickstand in the back

Makes using the 2ds much more comfortable.
