The joy cons are so small and this makes it easier to hold without your hand cramping

Fit the controllers perfectly and make them usuable for all hand sizes for longer durations of play without hand cramps

Without the Grip, the R Joy-Con forces me to clamp my palms around the controller for a semi-comfortable grip, pressing the SL & SR buttons at the top becomes a chore and causes minor cramping when racing on difficult courses

The 'R' and 'L' buttons are much more accessible and significantly easier to press
