I previously owned a FELLOWES paper shredder, cross-cut style and that attached over its own bin / basket; a medium duty, medium PRICE item, that overheated (as expected to do) after operating for 15 solid minutes of use.

Great product with very good security functions (micro-cut) for a very reasonable price.

The best - as I clean out files, I simply sit that beside
