On the down side: the high frequency response of the microphones is a bit lacking, their output level is much lower than one would expect for this type of product, only the sum of the two microphone output signals is available, and the microphone units themselves look to be made from cheap plastic -- lowering their perceived quality (but in my case, that is good because it helps deter theft).All in all, I would recommend this product even at $100 price range.

But these mics are made from cheap-o plastic and must have bottom of the line audio components inside, like you would find in a toy mike.
