I think this player sounds quite good, especially considering the low cost, but the sound you hear will, of course, depend on the earphones/headphones you use with it as well as the quality of the music files you play.

I'm sure updates will improve this device, its still brand new, overall thumbs up

The device is capable to work not just as a music player, but also as a portable DAC, just like an external sound card.

But that doesn’t mean that the M3K sounds bad in comparison to the X1

In Mainland China, high school kids are NOT ALLOWED to bring their mobile phones to class or to the library, thus the M3K serves its purpose as a music companion during studying, or cramping for their ever-so-important “gao kao” national examinations
