The game play is challenging, the story is somewhat entertaining, and the choice of characters towards the end leaves you with a unique experience

Everything about it, from the old'school graphics to the Perfect music (Opera house, anyone?) and incredible story and characters made this the best game I ever played

FF VI has it all: a great story, some of the best character development seen in any RPG, music that is still hailed as best video game music ever, moderate challenge, and one of the longest RPG's for its time

The story is grand, the music is (mind my language) orgasmic, and the visuals are breathtaking for the time and still look amazing

The story reaches out to many audiences by dealing with a wide range of topics, from tragic love stories to issues such as teen pregnancy and suicide

A good story, great graphics for it's time, and a depth (puzzle and exploration-wise) that will keep you playing long after you beat it the first time, this game is a fun and thought-provoking way to spend a week or two

Not to bag on FFI, but the story was rather weak and besides, it was on the 8-bit Nintendo system.

The story is wonderful, the game is innovative (the first to have you split into multiple parties, preforming different parts of the story at different times, much like Active Time Events in Final Fantasy IX, but much more lengthy), and the gameplay system is incredible.
