i see why so many people are so disappointed with this game cause they were expecting another Final Fantasy 7 game..if that's what your looking for then your not gonna find that here it is what it is and it is a really good game..but its a shooter game..

Now, it is a very short game as other people have mentioned, so it may be more beneficial to rent, HOWEVER, many people miss that if you play the 40 some extra missions and shot some of the secret targets throughout the main story, you can unlock some extra cut scenes (the extra missions are quite hard in my opinion and will take a while to get through)

It's just that the whole story feels a bit generic--some random people are trying to destroy the world again.

Some people might consider this not worth buying when you can rent the game and be done in less than a week

Some people have complained about the camera angles, but I don't see any way it could've been that much better, and with a little skill it isn't a problem

People looking for ONLY a shooter or a "real" FPS, probably won't like DoC as much as I did, because the storyline is kind of out of pace with the rest of the game
