    Final Fantasy VII

    • Sincerely, One Very Happy Final Fantasy Enthusiast.
    • Final fantasy has more enemies and doesn’t require anyone else to complete.
    • Play for yourself especially if you need to catch up on classic Final Fantasy games (now that they're going the annoying subscription fee route)
    • This game is probably the last good Final Fantasy game in the series
    • It may very well be one of the easiest Final Fantasy games in the seriesAfter eleven years, Final Fantasy VII still manages to be a beast in the RPG field.
    • This is, in my opinion, the worst Final Fantasy game ever
    • When Final Fantasy 7 first became available for the Playstation console, it set the bar that every other rpg must reach in order to be successful.
    • is like no other, and has the best Final Fantasy characters in it.
    • This is one of the best Final Fantasy games there is it re-wrote the video gaming at the time and introduced a new system of magic and weapons to the FF series
    • Final Fantasy 7 is the best final fantasy game its fun and addicting great story awsome fun overall great!
    • WERE THE BEST FINAL FANTASY COUPLE IN THE HISTORY OF SQUARESOFT.
    • The sweeping "theme of Final Fantasy VII", which compliments the wide-open world map prior to the summoning of Meteor, is first hinted at in "Holding my Thoughts in My Heart," which plays at the precipice of the dystopian technopolis of Midgar
    • But this is a beautiful moder/future/fantasy that reall hit home
    • The graphics in this game aren't as good as Final Fantasy 8 or 9's but the visuals and the CGI cinemas are still VERY impressive
    • After playing 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, Tactics and the first Tactics Advance game, I must say that this game is still my favorite Final Fantasy
    • Better than final fantasy anthology, and final fantasy VIII.
    • Has beautiful CGI cutscenes, that look better than the in-game cutscenes of Final Fantasy X (in some ways)Has fun gameplay (aside from the mini-games), and will keep you hooked for hoursHas great music, and will keeped you hooked into the game for hours, even if the gameplay doesn't, which it shouldHas an even better storyline, and like Final Fantasy X, if for some reason you hate the gameplay and the music (which is a hard thing to do), the story should keep you glued to your TV set with controller in handHas an easy 30+ hour completion time, without doing the side quests, ideal for those that like lots of gameplay timeHas good player customization (with what you call "Materia"), but not nearly as good as Final Fantasy X (although if you thought it was too time consuming in Final Fantasy X, this is much faster)The battle speed can be set as slow or fast as you want, with many settings in betweenCons:This game has a somewhat high encounter rate; if you're just playing this game for the story, you may want to consider using a cheat code for no random battles or something, as you'll be spending huge amounts of time with the random battlesThe graphics outside of the battles are very awful, using low polygon levelsThe graphics inside of the battles aren't too bad, but still leave a lot to be desiredIf you have much in the way of scratches on your discs, namely where the CGI cutscenes happen to be, look forward to the game going into an eternal freeze, and not being able to do anything about it, except try it on your PS2 or PS3If lots of extreme "French" language bother you, you may not want to play this game, as two of your main characters use these words a LOT and other side characters do as wellThis game comes with 3 discs, so if you are too lazy to get off your rear end after so many hours of play, to switch the discs, then this game is not for you.
    • Overall, it's a good game in its own right, but I honestly prefer the original Final Fantasy, FFIV, FFVI, or FFIX.
    • i am extreamly recommending final fantasy 7
    • It outshines all newer final fantasy's (10 and above) even though the quality is less
    • Don't get me wrong, Final Fantasy 9 and 10 are awesome, but they will never match up to this classic.
    • The most messiest final fantasy game ever created.
    • No other Final Fantasy has quite pulled it off like VII
    • This is arguably the greatest Final Fantasy game of all time
    • I've been a great fan of their games that followed, especially their landmark success Final Fantasy X for the PS2.The game has an interesting plot, compelling characters, and many challenges and secrets to discover
    • The highest grossing Final Fantasy game, and still beating out other Final Fantasy sales on the PSN
    • final fantasy 7..... is just DA BOMB!
    • The game's music was amazing (for game music) and it had the rare "good Final Fantasy Plotline"
    • Final Fantasy 7 is a work of crap
    • There is a now infamous death scene which has become the most cherished Final Fantasy moment for the its sheer tragic emotion, and anyone who has played the game will know what I am talking about.
    • Final Fantasy 7 is probably THE best Final Fantasy game in the series, although lately the scope has been on FFX for the Ps2, i still believe that FF7 is the most fun challenging and absorbing installment in the Final Fantasy series to date
    • I have played Final Fantasy 9, and although I liked the game overall--I also gave it 5 stars--I like Final Fantasy 7 much, much better
    • This game is probably the worst Final Fantasy on the PSX
    • People seem to forget the number one reason Final Fantasy 7 is loved so fondly and remembered all these years
    • While I adore Final Fantasy 9, 7's Limit Breaks worked better, and they also level up.
    • This is the worst Final Fantasy ever done
    • I would recommend Final Fantasy 7 to video game players and non-video game players, RPG fans and non-RPG fans, anyone who has any remote interest.
    • Ok this game is the best final fantasy game ever made!If you are into games made by square then you must buy this game
    • Unfortunately, the game is plagued with annoying mini-games like no other Final Fantasy ever made.
    • all the other final fantasies and others are good but this one just blew me away
    • While not quite as graphical as number 10 Final fantasy has one of the most lush story lines in ff history.
    • This has to be the best Final Fantasy game ever
    • Final Fantasy 7 is a masterpiece.
    • Love it or hate it, Final Fantasy 7 broke new ground in the RPG market, and games today have a lot to be thankful for that Final Fantasy 7 made possible
    • When it comes to an RPG, none can top Final Fantasy
    • I mean, Squaresoft was readying its Final Fantasy XII demo called Final Fantasy VII on the equally unknown PlayStation (or as some Amish like to call it, the PSX)
    • There are much better Final Fantasy's out
    • This is by far one of the BEST Final Fantasy games I've played
    • Anyway believe it or not despite popular believe this is not the best final fantasy game
    • not very good, very boring and mundane game, try final fantasy 8 instead.
    • I would have to say the final fantasy 3 (6 in Japan) is greater by far
    • final fantasy 8 is the best on the original playstation.
    • It is the best final fantasy game by far
    • Many people believe it to be the best Final Fantasy game ever, and some think it to be the best game ever, period.
    • I liked final fantasy 9 the best but this game is really bad.
    • It's the hallmark of a great fantasy game to make you feel as though you're living in that world.
    • Final Fantasy is a work of magic by Square soft, and on a scale from one to ten, I give it 100!!!!
    • All square soft can do to make a better final fantasy game in my opinion is to put ff7 out for playstation 2 with improved graphics
    • Final Fantasy 7 is the best final fantasy game its fun and addicting great story awsome fun overall great!
    • worst final fantasy ever~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • Final Fantasy 7 does not disappoint in this department.
    • It requires some thought which obviously some people are adverse to, but that is by no means a reason to condemn final fantasy or any other game along these lines
    • My first final fantasy was final fantasy 8 and i really like that game.
    • Final Fantasy 7 is a work of art
    • I was one of the people who were die-hard Final Fantasy fanatics way before the mainstream hype
    • Well Overall it's one of the best rpg ever created but not the best (my personal favorite one Final Fantasy 6).
    • Thanks for this classic Final Fantasy game
    • Either way, it's still proven to be the greatest Final Fantasy made to this day
    • it should be an anime!its not the best final fantasy ever made but consider it one of the top 3 or so:)
    • I have been an avid final fantasy fan since I first purchased number 7 roughly about 10 years ago and have managed to acquire the entire set since
    • FInal Fantasy 7 starts off like an action movie might.
    • Final Fantasy 7 is still my favorite, even tho i am currently wrapped up in Final Fantasy 11, but thats a different game
    • Final Fantasy 7 will always be a favorite of mine
    • 7.What makes Final Fantasy 7 so great, especially considering the past titles, the sequels, and other great titles such as Dragon Warrior Series, BReath of Fire, and so on.
    • All in all---a definite must have for anybody who loves Final Fantasy!
    • Though Diablo2 and Diablo 2, Lord of destruction has replaced it, i still sit back every now and then, and just play Final Fantasy till i fall asleep, i must admit, if not for my addiction to Blizzard Entertainment Games, i'd have to say this is the best game ever created
    • Also seperioth is one of the coolest final fantasy
    • Some other great Final Fantasy games are Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy X-2.
    • Final Fantasy Seven is the best out of the collection yet
    • The Materia system is a dumbed-down retooling of Final Fantasy VI's Magicite/Relic setup, and helps to make Final Fantasy VII the only installment aside from III to make differences between party members virtually nonexistent
    • ff7 is hands down the best final fantasy game in its series
    • all the other final fantasies and others are good but this one just blew me away
    • This is commonly called the best Final Fantasy game for a reason
    • This is the best final fantasy game i have ever played.
    • final fantasy is my favorite final fantasy game it's and very sad story with a good ending.
    • What makes this possibly one of the best final fantasy games out there despite it's age, is the game's stellar mix of odd and endearing characters, I couldn't help liking each character in my party
    • Many aspects of game are outdated and I am not sure new generation of gamers would appreciate Final fantasy VII as we older gamers did
    • overall a lame final fantasy game
    • By far the BEST final fantasy ever madeIt was the first FF to be made on psx and the gameplay graphics were OK
    • It's one of the best Final Fantasy games out there.
    • In classic Final Fantasy style, the seventh game in the series brings Cloud, a mercenary now working for a terrorist group, into your head
    • The first final fantasy to appear on the playstation, it entered well, using graphics never even approached in any of its previous installments
    • Final Fantasy V. Upon comparison, it becomes clear that the story of Final Fantasy VII is a random, childish process with unsuccessful attempts to convey deep, thoughtful ideas
    • X-2 it still is the best final fantasy game i know of
    • Final Fantasy VII is one of the best Final Fantasy games I have ever played
    • The story is as epic as any great Final Fantasy should be, although I do admit that the ending is a bit lax...still, it was followed up by sequels, so at least the story did continue.
    • I can't believe how many gamers are hailing this game as the best final fantasy ever
    • Here is where this installment really shines; the bizarre ultra deformed populace of the world, though initially alienating to the casual gamer, has the chaemelionic ability to blend into a quirky environment the whole of which is influenced by and imbedded within imaginative fantasy concepts, a world in which chocobo racing can be realisitically supposed to exist
    • For me this was my first Final Fantasy experience and I am proud to say this is not only one of my favorite Final Fantasy's its also one of my most favorite rpg's
    • The same ones who love Final Fantasy 7 say that was better
    • The first Final Fantasy on a system is always the best, as it seems to bring out the best in Square's developers.
    • I went to a local video game store and saw Final Fantasy VII available for $19.99.
    • Joining them is Aerith Gainsborough, best know for being the Final Fantasy chick who dies
    • Final Fantasy rarely glitches.
    • I've played games such as Zelda Majoras Mask, Perfect Dark, Almost all the Final Fantasy's, Chrono Trigger and Cross, but this game takes the cake out of them all.
    • In my dorm building I asked all of the gamers what the worst Final Fantasy was and they all said 7
    • graphically the game shows it's age (circa 1997), and the game play isn't exactly the easy moving/user friendly style we're used to today, but those so called draw backs don't hinder the awesome story, the great fantasy atmosphere, and the wonderful characters including Cloud, the quiet and reserved hero of the story and of course Sephiroth, who is in my opinion the greatest bad guy gamming has ever seen (any fan of this game knows what I'm talking about)
    • This is probably the best Final Fantasy ever made so far, and probably will be the greatest from here and on!
    • By the looks of it, it will truly be the best final fantasy game ever!!!
    • Quite possibly the most excellent Final Fantasy ever in a lot of people's minds
    • Final Fantasy VII is easily my favorite Final Fantasy game, and I know them all
    • One of the best Final Fantasy games ever made has to be Final Fantasy VII.
    • Sincerely, One Very Happy Final Fantasy Enthusiast.
    • If you like Final Fantasy and you haven't played VII, do youself a favor and find a copy as soon as possible.
    • The storyline, characters, graphics, and all bugs and glitches (that aren't there) make this the best Final Fantasy game yet.
    • Final Fantasy VII in my opinion is the best RPG game ever created and it definately blows away the others that have followed
    • While i liked number eight ok final fantasy burned itself out after that
    • it can get "final fantasy seven-ishly bad"
    • This is by far the WORST final fantasy in my opinion
    • I have played every final fantasy and this one is in between the good final fantasy and the bad final fantasy
    • If you like playing Final Fantasy but haven't tried any of the older ones, this is a great place to start
    • Not only do I think that it's the best final fantasy game of all time, I think that it has got to be the best game I have ever played
    • This game is, quite possibly, the greatest final fantasy game ever made
    • worst final fantasy game E-V-E-R.
    • Now it is on of the best and is the best final fantasy game to get started with since its slightly
    • As an avid Final Fantasy player from the very begining with FFI I still love the story, charachters, weapons, etc. of this Final Fantasy.
    • Everything about this game is just absolutely magnificent and still remains one of my all time favorite Final Fantasy games
    • This game has gone on to be without a doubt the most popular final fantasy game if not the most popular jrpg game ever made, and with good reason
    • Is it my favorite Final Fantasy game of all time?
    • It has to be one of the greatest Final Fantasy's made yet
    • , I cannot argue that Final Fantasy 7 is among the three best games of all time, and easily the most ground breaking RPG ever.
    • Needless to say, the Final Fantasy Name is tarnished by recent FF titles that don't even need to be mentioned in this classica review, all in all, there beth not' another grand final fantasy since 1997
    • Final Fantasy is truly a classic...
    • Final Fantasy 7 has accomplished this.
    • After all, the last time a Final Fantasy game made the leap to a new, more powerful platform (Final Fantasy IV), they increased the party size and introduced the ATB mechanic
    • Still very playable to this day, and still one of the top three Final Fantasy games ever in my opinion.
    • There is no word to describe how good Final Fantasy VII is
    • Final Fantasy 7 is like a good book
    • Foremost in the legacy of Squaresoft is the Final Fantasy franchise, arguably the greatest in all of gaming
    • Worst Final Fantasy game in the series, hands down.
    • Even though people will have differing opinions about the enjoyability of this game, no serious gamer would deny the tremendous influence Final Fantasy 7 has had on videogaming
    • Because FF7 is the game that got the mainstream into the Final Fantasy series much like how the Black album got the mainstream into Metallica
    • If you like Final Fantasy, you wil HATE this game
    • The first I tried was FF7, and let me say, I haven't played a better Final Fantasy game yet
    • Final Fantasy 7 is like the #1 in the series, with the rest following
    • Needless to say, the Final Fantasy Name is tarnished by recent FF titles that don't even need to be mentioned in this classica review, all in all, there beth not' another grand final fantasy since 1997
    • Most Final Fantasy 7 rabid fans, probably couldn't actually play this game, due to the fact it's frankly no longer pretty enough for them
    • Final Fantasy 7 is a classic
    • final fantasy sucks
    • The Sony PlayStation had a superior sound chip system in comparison to the Super NES, yet the sound quality of games like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 3 (er, 6!) blasted you with superb sound quality.
    • I've found if you weren't alive and playing RPGs at the time of this games release you might not like it as much as later final fantasies
    • I like final fantasy 8 and 10 better.
    • I like final fantasy 8 and 10 better.
    • In my FF6 review, I thought Kefka was the best Final Fantasy villain ever.
    • It is the best Final Fantasy game so far
    • In my opinion, Final Fantasy 7 is not only the best in it's series, but the best game of all time.
    • Final Fantasy is a story about legendary events in a world, but Final Fantasy in and of itself has become a legend in the gaming world, and number 1 in the world of RPGs
    • I have played every final fantasy and this one is in between the good final fantasy and the bad final fantasy
    • If you like Final Fantasy, you wil LOVE this game
    • Final Fantasy 3 on the SNES, was a great success.
    • It's probably not the best Final Fantasy, but it's still just so awesome
    • Definitely in my top 3 best Final Fantasy games, but it has some issues, which really hold it back from greatness
    • Sure we all have our playstation 2's and saw how amazing Final Fantasy X looked, but keep in mind the time Final Fantasy 7 was brought out.
    • I love this game final fantasy 7
    • This is by far one of the WORST Final Fantasy games I've played
    • Other than that, they aren't stunning, and leave you sometimes confused as to what you can walk on and what you can't, but I really don't look at a game for the graphics if it's an RPG
    • Im still alittle confused as to why square never remade this game with updated H.D graphics for any of the current consoles , just keeping everything the same other than the visuals, there is a whole lot of money to be had there, just ask capcom with all there Resident Evil Remakes
    • all RPG's the game can get a bit static and repetitive as you get stuck on your first adventure
    • i bought thta as fast as i could
    • VII stands as outstanding graphically as it did then and weaves a tale that will still amaze.
    • I bought this game for under 20$ back then, and as great as it may have been then
    • Honestly, when I randomly decided to look up old videogames for fun and happened to check out the reviews for FF7, I was confused as to why anybody who played it would give it anything but 5 stars
    • And the story, It starts as cloud blowing up a
    • This game is a great game...though not as great as it's decendant (FF8).This game offers great graphics the best ever next to 8.I have yet to play (ff9).85 %-90% you will play the part of cloud strife,an ex-SOLDIER.Soldier is an elite group of men and Women taught to fight very well
    • And you’ll be confused as to why the game costs so much
    • And after a couple of months, or a couple of years pass, you will start this game over and beat it again, just with the same feelings of satisfactory, entertainment, exhilartion, excitness, fun, proudness, as when you first played and beated it
    • not as good, not nearly as good as ff8
    • Trust me the graphics may be good but the story is not as strong as FF7
    • I don't particularly care--he was supposed to be Mr. T, and he turned out well in that regard, but if you intend to read some kind of general statement on the merit of people of a particular shade, you may as well just let this one pass by
    • Other than that, they aren't stunning, and leave you sometimes confused as to what you can walk on and what you can't, but I really don't look at a game for the graphics if it's an RPG
