    Final Fantasy VIII

    • (Hmph, nice storyline)Characters:This was sad: When Square made Final Fantasy VII had you emotionally attatched to the characters, in Final Fantasy VIII they made characters that you would want to forget forever:Squall is a lone-wolf ... and a 18 year old loser(So don't call him Cloud); Rhinoa has a the face but everything else
    • The storyline is bad
    • FFVII was a pure marvel and still is, but VIII lacked any good storyline and the characters weren't the least bit interesting
    • the storyline is terrible and the characters are too real looking.
    • However, this game has a compelling, romantic storyline that's sure to touch anyone.
    • this game has an excellent storyline...and if you havent played it even to this date you NEED to along with any other FF game you have not had the pleasure of experiencing
    • I liked the plot twists, which were good, considering the storyline was only lukewarm
    • It has a great storyline, and an interesting level up and junction system
    • So, in short, if you want a game with a monumental storyline, developed characters, and good music, don't buy this game
    • Just got this game this year and have been enjoying the storyline to the fullest and loving every minute of the gameplay as this is the first FF game to introduce the junction system
    • The Edea/Adel/Ultimecia quandary is a shadowy threat, and the weak link to an otherwise strong storyline.
    • Pros:-Very very deep storyline with great character development-Not something that you can sit down and play like FF7 (although some of you may consider this a con)-Junctioning System
    • The storyline didn't have me screaming for more (just being honest)
    • The storyline and graphics are awsome.
    • This is still a good game to have in the collection, good storyline and great characters.
    • The "alternate storyline" was dull, and none of those charcters were particularily interesting or funny either
    • The great graphics, emmersive storyline & the interesting characters all come together to form a fantastic game
    • Decent graphics, and an excellent storyline
    • The storyline and excellent and the battle system is supurb
    • The storyline was great and the controls were easy enough for an average RPGer to learn
    • The graphics are fantastic, gameplay exceptional and the storyline is also quite good
    • The storyline is by far the best of all the final fantasy games
    • The best part about this game though is the amazing Storyline
    • My first experience with the Final Fantasy series was FF7.I didn't think they could top that excellent game, but they did!Final Fantasy VIII has everything an RPG should have,An excellent storyline, wonderful characters you can come to love, and(although the least important)great graphics
    • The storyline is incredible and gripping.
    • I personally like great animations but for rpg, it makes the game look all nice and new, but I prefer a better storyline, simple fighting system, and more time to explore.
    • The characters are great, storyline is great, the enviroments are great, the battle system is great everythingis great
    • All in all, though, it is a game that is a lot of fun and has a decent storyline
    • Final Fantasy fans will be delighted to see the same old battle system, wonderful storyline, high-end graphics, and memorable music.
    • The gameplay of VIII is much more fun than that of VII, but the storyline is a bit weaker.
    • One of the elements is the very unusual storyline
    • If you want a better storyline, play FFVII.
    • Once you understand it and know what to do, you get sucked in to the great storyline
    • Nevertheless, I love the storyline
    • The storyline, as in most FF games, is award-winning good.
    • The storyline, as in most FF games, is award-winning good.
    • The storyline is wonderful, but some of the characters are a tad annoying
    • Third of all, the storyline IS a good storyline, but the game just seemed far too linear, and extended over a long period of time.
    • The graphics are UNDISCRIBABLE and the whole storyline of it is awesome
    • Final Fantasy 8 has, to date, the best storyline of the series
    • Great graphics, unforgettable storyline, nice battles
    • They had (as usual) a great storyline, and decided to take a somewhat more dramatic angle on it
    • The storyline for FF8 is great as well.
    • One thing that is very good about this game is that it is very chalenging and some of the bosses are probably the hardest boss in any RPG because he is over 1,161,000.This game is very good for a Final Fantasy fan and has very cool storyline.
    • The storyline was great
    • It's been a long time, and the graphics (at least for PSOne) are awesome, and the storyline is still enthralling.
    • The best thing about a Final Fantasy game is the amazing storyline
    • A beautiful and suspenseful storyline, greatly complements the awe-inspiring animations, and the characters are very nicely defined and are given their own personality's
    • FFVII was a pure marvel and still is, but VIII lacked any good storyline and the characters weren't the least bit interesting
    • The storyline was not great, but it didn't have a hindering and time consuming combat system to disturb my gameplay.
    • All of which contribute to a great and addictive storyline
    • The low quality of FFVIII can really be seen when the lopsidedness is coupled with an idiotic storyline (yeah right all seven party members grew up in the same orphanage, and just HAPPENED to forget about it only to be reunited many years later by chance encounters)
    • FF7 had a critically acclaimed storyline.
    • Cons:- The storyline
    • A storyline that is so slow, so pointless that you actually look forward to the battle sequences
    • In my opinion, the storyline is rather impressive
    • The only real problem with VIII is its storyline
    • its the best out of all the final fantasies, its so interesting, cool, scary, funny, beautiful, fun, and everything an awsome storyline needs like ff8's storyline, the gameplay was wonderful, and so was the battle
    • the game is still very fun to play for a true ff lover and has a good storyline
    • The graphics are extraordinary, with stirring music and a fantastic storyline.
    • Its a really fun game with a great storyline and realistic characters
    • The reason why I rate this game like this is because the storyline is very good and the gameplay is very fun
    • It has likeable characters and a good storyline, by video game standards
    • This makes no sense to me at all because not only did it bring about a heavy graphical upgrade, the best to be seen on the PS1 in my opinion, but it also had a complex and gripping storyline that begs you to keep your senses peeled and ready for what might be coming around the corner
    • GREAT GREAT storyline
    • Again I must say what a great storyline because since Squall joined SeeD , (the main character
    • even the original on the NES.Now, the storyline of this game is excellent.
    • OK, first of all, this stupid game has a bad storyline, worse bad guys, and it can't even build up a story.
    • The storyline can be a bit confusing though, which can take away from the fun.
    • With a great storyline, great movie clips, and a very fulfilling ending makes FFVII a role playing game set ahead of the rest.
    • It's a spectacular ride of emotions and graphics, and a storyline that'll leave you begging for more.
    • More horrible storyline I guess.
    • It's great battles, memorable characters, and a deep mature storyline makes it my favorite Final Fantasy, if not favorite game
    • However, the storyline is not the greatest.
    • Along with a just-ok cast of charcters, the storyline wasn't the best either
    • Final Fantasy 8 is everything you want in a game, beautiful graphics, interesting storyline, well-developed characters, and visible improvements with training
    • Super Mario Brothers had a better storyline than Final Fantasy VIII.
    • The characters are great i like Selphie and Irvine the best
    • maybe if square had released this game under a different title not final fantasy 8 i woulnt have been disappointed
    • I enjoy this game a lot, but not as much as I like Final Fantasy 7
