These are all smart TV's

the USB connection is not compatible with the USB slot of my Samsung smart TV.

Newer LCD's TV's works fine

Any older 1st Gen Sony smart TVs or older smart TVs do not produce enough power from the USB port to power device do not buy if you're tv is an older tv

Works very well on newer model TVs, I have a 32" Samsung tv in a guest bedroom that is about 3 years old it it doesn't give out enough power to work the fire stick

Firestick works better connected directly to tv without wires.

I wouldn't say not to buy it, but make sure your tv is strong enough for it

Some older TVs might not work

Tried this with our new Fire Stick plugged into a 65" 4K & 3D ready tv.

The USB on my smart TV does not constantly provide enough power to the fire stick to maintain a connection.

It works but my tv is not powerful enough to maintain without using electrical outlet

This cable is too short to reach from the splitter to the TV.2nd, my TV's USB port is apparently unpowered so this cable doesn't work to power the firestick.

The cable only worked on our newest smart tv.
